Traveling around in an RV is exciting and enjoyable, no doubt. Manufacturers are installing appliances and accessories in recreational vehicles (RVs) to improve the experience and make the vehicles more convenient.

And one, in particular, a washing machine and dryer, might make camping a little bit easier for you.

Westland Sales, Splendide is a well-known company that specializes in manufacturing top-of-the-line washers and other appliances. The launch of the new Splendide 2100XC washer has caused quite a stir in the marketplace.

However, despite its many useful features, users may experience a few hiccups at times. Recently, people have been talking a lot about problems with their Splendide 2100XC lights flashing.

Since this is a common issue, we’ll use this article to take you through some of the reasons and tell you how to troubleshoot the flashing lights problem on your Splendide 2100XC. Let’s get straight into it!

Ways to Fix The Splendide 2100xc Flashing Lights Issue

1. Heat Element

The element heats the water to the required temperature. After a certain period, an indicator light on the control panel may begin blinking if the water has not achieved the desired temperature.

Use a multimeter to check for continuity to see if the heating element has burned out. If you notice that the heating element is problematic, you should replace it.

If you are unsure about its location, it would be a good idea to check the user manual that comes with the washer.

2. Drain Pump Or Touchpad Issue

Water is forced into the drain pipe by the drain pump’s impeller. A light on the control panel may begin blinking if the drain pump is not functioning.

Use a multimeter to test the pump motor to determine if the drain pump is broken. Replace the drain pump if the motor is not continuously running. Keep in mind that drain pumps cannot be repaired; you must replace them when they are faulty.

Secondly, make sure the display is operational. Try pressing some touchpad buttons to see whether the display is functional or not.

It’s possible that the touchpad is broken if some buttons work correctly but others don’t. You will need to replace the touchpad to resolve the issue.

Some manufacturers sell the control panel and touchpad separately. Find a replacement and ask a professional repairman to replace the touchpad.

3. Door Latch Issues

The buttons on the washer will flash as a warning if it notices that your door is open. This is a common cause of the blinking start button issue.

For instance, if you used brackets to install the top portion of your washer, they may have lifted the top frame, giving the machine the impression that the door is open.

You can fix the problem by simply unscrewing these brackets and mounting them from the side. If the door is properly fastened, but the blinking problem continues, clean the door latch on your machine.

Try these troubleshooting steps before consulting a professional to get rid of the blinking lights on the Start button.

4. Reset Your Washer

If the cycle on your washer won’t start, you may have pressed the button too frequently. You will need to reset the device to fix the problem.

Once the start button has been pressed for two to three seconds, the reset feature will activate. You will hear a buzzer sound once the reset has been completed.

Sometimes, blinking lights may keep the washer from resetting. Giving the washer enough time to process the command to stop the flashing lights would be best. Your control board must process the orders you continuously send by clicking various buttons.

Press no more buttons after the lights have all turned off for a simple reset procedure. Your washing machine ought to start up immediately.

But what happens if the reset feature doesn’t work? What do you do in this case? Disconnect your washer from its power source for a while if you have reset the device. Plug it back in after unplugging it.

If your machine is hard connected to your electrical system, shut off the breaker at the electrical panel. Restart your machine after turning it back on. An unlatched door or a missing plug can also be to blame if these procedures don’t work.

Additionally, the device might be set to sleep mode or child lock mode. Until the child lock button is reset, Splendide 220XC will stop working.

Press and hold the child lock or power button for a short period, or as directed in your owner’s manual, to deactivate the child lock. Once done, the door lock will be released, and the light will stop flashing.

Check whether the machine’s sleep mode is enabled if the kid lock safety feature is not the problem. Depending on your manual, repeatedly press the cancel or resume button until the sleep mode light turns off.

5. Water or Volume Problem

If your Splendide 220 XC “Washing” light is blinking, it may be because the water volume or temperature is too low or too high. It may also be a sign that there are too many suds or foam in the washing machine.

Too Many Foam

As long as the indicator is flashing, the washer will not operate. It would be best that you first try resetting the machine’s control panel.

An interruption in the power supply or surge can cause an error that can be erased with a simple reset. Try the troubleshooting steps below if this straightforward procedure doesn’t fix it.

  • Before starting the washing cycle, ensure enough water is in the tub by checking the water level. In Splendide 220XC, the water level must be at least 1/4 inch deep to cover the heating element
  • Ensure the tub’s water supply valve is open if water isn’t entering the tub. If it is in good health, proceed to check the input valve on your machine.
  • The washing light might constantly blink if your washing machine is improperly installed. There won’t be enough water for the machine to clean effectively if the drain hose is sucking it all out of the tub.
  • If you are using a substandard detergent, you may end up with a lot of foam or suds, preventing the seamless functioning of the washer. Furthermore, you should add the detergent in moderation.

The Bottom Line

Your Splendide 220 XC machine may require a reset if the lights keep blinking. It may also indicate that the door locks on your handy kitchen appliance are soiled or broken.

It can also happen due to issues with the heating system, control panel, or water flow. If your machine requires an expert’s assistance, call a specialist immediately.

    • On mine, which I think is a 2100, I just hold the power/start button down for a few seconds. If everything blinks, it is reset and you can change your cycle or whatever is needed.
