Most camping enthusiasts own large vehicles like motorhomes and RVs because of all the features these come with. Some of these include having several rooms that are all filled with furniture. Considering this, you can stay relaxed in your vehicle even when you are traveling. Other than this, there is also lots of space in these motorhomes to store all of your equipment.
If you are someone who is going to stay on their trip for a long time then all this storage can be essential. With that being said, when it comes to some of the popular vehicles that you can get then Peugeot Boxer is one of them. This has numerous features and it should last you a long time. Although, there are also some issues that people have reported with it. This is why we will be using this article to provide you with a few steps that will help you in fixing air suspension problems that can be found on a Peugeot Boxer.
Peugeot Boxer Air Suspension Problems and Their Solutions
1. Check Tires
Usually, it is quite common for people using large motorhomes like Peugeot Boxer to complain about suspension and stability issues. Although, you should note that the problem might be from your tires instead. These large vehicles can start to sway a lot and get unstable if even one of their tires starts to run low on air. Considering this, it is recommended that you keep these in check at all times. Simply keeping all the tires at the same levels and PSI ratings that were recommended by the manufacturers should help in fixing the issue.
2. Check for Air Leaks
In some cases, you might notice that your wheels start to run low on air quite frequently. This might be because the tires have started to die and the only fix, in this case, is replacing them. However, the problem can also simply be from an air leak. This is why you should check for these before purchasing a new pair of tires. A simple test that you can do at your home is preparing water mixed with a soap solution. You can then pout this on your tire fittings and then observe it. If there are any bubbles then this means that air is leaking out. Replacing the fittings with new ones will be enough to get rid of this issue.
3. Wheels Might Be Punctured
Finally, just like the step mentioned above the problem you are getting might be from an air leak indeed. Although, this might be from a puncture in your tires instead of it being from the fittings. You will have to take off your wheel for this and then put it inside a water and soap solution. If there are any punctures on the wheels then you will notice small bubbles near the puncture. You can then use a repair kit to fix these. In case, you are having trouble with this process on your own then it is better that you take your vehicle to a workshop nearby.
