If you are someone who owns an RV or motorhome then you should already be aware of all the features these vehicles come with. Although, there are also a lot of issues that you can run into.

These include having trouble with the stability of your vehicle or the equipment in it running into errors. Although, you should note that these problems can be easy to fix while you are at your home.

On the other hand, if you are outside on a trip and run into an issue then it can be quite annoying to deal with it. This is why you must understand how to troubleshoot these issues.

One of the most common equipment that people use with their RVs is the electronic leveling system from LCI. This is why we will be using this article to tell you about some troubleshooting steps that can be used if the LCI electronic leveling system starts to run into problems.

LCI Electronic Troubleshooting

  1. Check Connections

One of the first things that you should check on your LCI electronic leveling system is its connections. This is because most problems on the device are caused due to some wires being loose or coming off.

Additionally, in some cases, these can also get damaged due to getting bent or having pressure put on them. This is why make sure that you properly check all of these to ensure there are no issues with them.

Any cables that are damaged should be replaced with new ones and loose ones should be connected back in tightly. Make sure that you switch off the main power before checking these wires to avoid getting electrocuted.

Aside from this, people who are hesitant to check the cables by themselves should take their vehicle to a professional or call them instead. This is much better as troubleshooting these on your own can be quite dangerous.

  1. Retract the Leveling System

Sometimes when trying to use the leveling system, you will notice that it gets stuck or stops moving. If this happens then there is a high chance that your control panel is having trouble trying to contact the equipment.

In this case, one of the easiest things that you can try is manually extending the leveling jacks on the system. You can do this by holding down the extend button until you notice no further movement. Once done, retract the equipment back completely and then try using it.

  1. Reset the Device

Finally, if none of the steps mentioned above work then you can try resetting the LCI electronic leveling system. This removes all the configuration changes that you had made to it and returns the device to its factory default state.

Considering this, any problems with the system should be removed along with the configurations and you can then start calibrating the device again. The process is usually provided in the manual that comes with the leveling system. But you can also use the zero point calibration option in settings to reset your device.
