Check the angle after loading. Webbing, knots, tree bark, and gathered ends settle once weight is in the hammock, so a perfect empty hang can finish lower than expected.
Do not chase a flat line. A flatter suspension can feel tidy, but it multiplies strap and anchor force quickly. Raise the anchor before you pull the suspension tighter.
