Measure carry indoors or with range flags: a launch monitor is ideal, but consistent range carry targets are more useful than total-distance guesses from firm turf.
Separate full and partial wedge systems: this calculator maps full-swing clubs. Add half and three-quarter wedge numbers only after the full ladder makes sense.
Watch overlap: if two clubs finish within about 5 yards, one may need a loft bend, shaft change, or replacement slot.

But either way it’s making sure you have something you like walking up to at each yardage (not just something that will work).

It can be a bit tedious at first while setting up. But it will become very useful the next time the wind blows up and the distances get shorter than they are accustomed to being.
